GARLIC breath rtc Bus

RTC RIDE will provide free rides from the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center to Pat Baker Park and back on Route 15, which will run a special, detoured route to provide access to Pat Baker Park between 3:30 – 8:30 p.m.

 

Passengers can also look for a special placard in the bus front window indicating Route 15 Garlic Festival Booster Service.

 

RTC will provide service every 15 minutes between Pat Baker Park, the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center and RTC 4TH STREET STATION via the special booster service.

 

The public can park and ride at the northeast parking lot of the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center and receive a free 2-RIDE pass to go to the event and return to the park and ride location.

 

The marked bus stops are located near the Sutro Street/Haddock Drive intersection, the Sutro Street/Oliver Street intersection and at Pat Baker Park. 

 

Transit service to the festival is part of the RTC’s Don’t Drive, Arrive! initiative, encouraging the public to use alternative modes of transportation.

Special Features:

“Kneeling” Buses, Public Address Systems and Wheelchair Lifts Each RTC RIDE bus has a front-end “kneeling” feature that lowers the first step to curb level for easier access for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. Just ask the driver to have the bus “kneel” for you. All RTC RIDE buses have a public address system for stop, transfer and other announcements. In addition, our buses are equipped with either front door ramps for wheelchair access or wheelchair lifts located at the rear door of the bus, both of which are operated by the bus driver. Passengers in wheelchairs are loaded first and the driver will assist in securing your wheelchair. Mobility devices up to 30" x 48" and weighing up to 600 pounds when occupied can be accommodated.
